Hey Sports Tech Fans,
Another bumper week for sports tech companies fundraising!
Thank you for the positive feedback on the “ETF”.
To clarify it is not a real ETF and you can’t in vest in it! :)
It is just for fun and doesn’t constitute financial advice!
At the time of writing it is up just over 3%. I won’t mention it each week but I will be improving it and updating it throughout the year as it is a great indicator of the power behind SportsTech.
There are a couple of stories below about esports organisations looking to go public this year so those would be prime additions to the ETF.
LaLiga hosted their first live game on Twitch for Spain only on Wednesday night which goes to show their willingness to be proactive with innovation and new platforms. I would expect others to follow.
This week I spoke with Fernanda and Tomer from Collosseum Sports Tech in Tel Aviv. They had just finished a meeting with sports teams to discuss all things sports tech innovation and the challenges sports are facing. I got a nice ride along tour of Tel Aviv.
They are running their 3rd cohort of their Sports Tech Management training program.
They have a world class roster of people who will leading the training over 5 weeks from the sports tech industry at large.
The deadline for applications is tomorrow and they were kind enough to offer a 15% discount for readers of the digest.
“Curious to expand your sports tech horizons? Check out Colosseum’s Sports Tech Management Executive program. With this round of modules, they will explore a variety of topics from every angle of the sports tech world to teach you how to re-imagine not only your team structure but also your company’s dynamic role in the sports tech ecosystem. In this rapidly changing industry, opportunities to bolster your knowledge and hear from your peers are crucial to success.
Have a great sporting weekend,
