18 stories this week that I have tried to keep CoronaVirus free, but with the sporting world in a tail spin in these socially distant times, it is great to see some of the innovation taking place.
I watched the F1 virtual grand prix last week and despite a few technical setbacks in getting started, it was a great event. Almost 400k viewers tuned in on Sunday.
The week before the #nottheAUSGP virtual race was broadcast by Veloce esports and Lando Noris the McClaren driver taking part in it smashed the Twitch record for most concurrent viewers with over 70,000 viewers!
La Liga ran a football tournament that featured the players with over 1 million views being racked up.
Other stories below include deals for the Ironman Group, as well as them turning their Ironman race virtual and Steve Ballmer has just splashed $400 million on a home for his LA Clippers!
