Hi Sports Tech fans!
It’s been another busy week in the world of sports tech.
There has been a lot of news with sports streaming; UEFA to launch their own platform, ESPN+ hits 2 million subscribers, DAZN launches multi-screen view and while overall TV viewing of the Super Bowl was the lowest in a decade there was big growth in the numbers streaming the grand finale of the NFL season.
Elsewhere we see 3 Premier League teams partner with Intel for their 360 degree True View technology, the NBA and AT&T partner to bring 4k, AR and MR to NBA fans and the PGA tour will have a 360 degree Tee-box view for Pebble Beach Pro Am.
The Sacramento Kings have launched their own prediction games to get ready for sports betting legalization in California, which is a trend I expect to see rise as teams realize the potential they have in this space.
There is also a podcast link to a Freakonomics Radio interview with Mark Cuban, who gives great insight in the world of Sports Tech, eSports, NBA and more.
