2019 trends continue as we have yet more betting, eSports and streaming news.
The NHL hits records for round 1 of its playoffs, which is a great boost to the sport which is often in the shadow of the other 3 major sports in the US.
We also have blockchain news, the end of an era for ESPN print magazine, House of Highlights continuing its move from Instagram channel to featured award in the NBA season, Facebook’s Watch series Versus series 2 debuts focusing on Steph Curry, W Series debuts as an all female motorsport series and this weekend sees the Kentucky Derby showcase with new betting formats and technology likely to be on display.
The Yahoo Sports Technology Awards were held last night with the winners ranging from a fishing app to smart helmets to fantasy AI apps.
